Hey all
I've been using 1mg finasteride ED (1.25mg because I switched to splitting 5mg tablets into 4 parts) along with minoxidil once a day and 50mg RU mixed in 1 ml of ethanol and pg (70/30 ratio) spread out through my whole scalp.
RU: since december 2014
fin and minox: since february 2015
However, my hairline is continuing to recede and I'm switching to 0.5mg dutasteride ED. I was wondering though, should I continue using RU? I don't really have the idea that it does a lot but maybe that's because it's too low in strength? I don't really want to up my dosage either because of cost (student life is hard)...
Anyway, because it's mainly my hairline that is the problem (density as well but hair line comes first imo), I was thinking: should I just use RU at my hair line only? I could do 50mg in 0.5ml RU, therefore doubling the concentration of my RU mix and only apply it on my hair line. The dutasteride would take care of my crown (dut is strong enough you'd think) and ofc also help with my hair line.
Thoughts on this regime?
PS: I know fin takes time to show results, but your hair line receding further is not really a sign of a so called finasteride shed or whatever imo. That's just the drug not being sufficient enough.
