Didn't get much response on reddit so I'm gonna try here as well.
I'm thinking about trying finasteride, hairline is receding, but very, very slowly and have been contemplating the dose required. While I know 1 mg is the optimal dose studies show that lower doses are also effective (just not to the same extent).

wouldn't a microdose of 0.1 or even 0.05 provide quite the benefit, even if 1 mg is the optimal dose? The point of all this is of course to try to reduce any eventual side effects. I'm still gonna start out with 1 mg but it would be interesting to know if a lower dose would be effective should I experience sides that doesn't go away with continued use.
