    Nizarol ?

I'm new to this forum and have been reading through the threads. I see Nizarol mentioned a few times. This product is new to me, so may I ask how many of you use it and do you you find it has a positive effect?

    Many thanks

And do you just wash your hair normally with it or do you leave it on for a long time so that the active ingredient can be absorbed better?

What I do and what I believe your suppose to do is put it in your hair and leave for a 2-3 minutes then wash out.

On a side note about Niz do NOT use it everyday maybe about 2-3 times a week and if your someone who likes to wash their hair everyday maybe get some Head and Shoulders for in-between days.

Hi Steve, here is what the Nizarol 1% shampoo directions say:

"Wet hair thoroughly, apply shampoo, generously lather, rinse thoroughly. Repeat. Use every 3-4 days for up to 8 weeks or as directed by a doctor. Then use only as needed to control dandruff"

What I and others do is to use it every 3-4 days.
You dont want to overdo. It would be like taking more than 1 multivitamin every day. Unnecessary !

I tried Nizoral before and can't really say it does something.

You will not find a case where a guy grew hair just by using Nizoral.

You can find studies out there, but they always seem conflicting

Nizoral is good to fight sebum, and it definitely makes the hair feel "different", that's probably the reason why many people like it

I use it M W F. I have the 2% that I use every other monday. I am not sure the 2% is worth it but sense I have it I use it. This stuff seems to last forever (6 months depending on your hair length).

I wet my hair in the sink the lather up and jump in the shower once the water is warm. I wash my body then rinse the Nizoral out. I also use a conditioner every single time I wash my hair. I try once a week to apply a coconut oil and leave it in my hair for a few hours if possible.

This is just what I do. Does it work or not, i'm not sure but it would suck if I stopped and my hair fall out so I continue on.

Hi Hicks. Thanks for the input. Your post suggest you have managed to halt your hair loss. What have you used to do this? I guess you must have used more than just Nizarol.

The big 3. Nizarol, proscar cut in 5ths tsken at night on an empty stomach, and minoxidil twice a day foam in morning lipogaine liquid at night.

Yes I have stopped and reversed some. This stuff doesn't work well for your front if you already lost it. I need a HT to fix that.

I just bought promox from Klein. Seems to work. I use it for my front. I also use a massage ball to increase blood flow and help break up scar tissue.

Hair takes forever to grow so it's really hard to say what works.

I used to use Nizarol, the shit didn't work, switched to Nizoral and I love it.
