    Rogaine liquid vs foam

Just wondering which one all of you think is better? Would it be correct to say that the liquid is better as it is easy to penetrate the skin and you know exactly how much you are using with the needle, whereas with the foam, it makes it harder for the rogaine to penetrate the hair and a lot of it just sits there. Also it is harder to know it seems the exact amount to use.

Don't get me wrong, I would prefer Rogaine foam because it is so much easier to use and cleaner, but I don't see the point of it if it not as effective as the liquid. Any opinions?

I think it depends on your haircut and the kind of baldness you have (temples, crown, diffuse).

If you have a very short hair, go with foam.
Foam can be very hard to apply on mid-long hair > A lot of foam on the hair and not enough on the scalp.
Liquid have better penetration because propylene glycol (some people are allergic), its better to cover all scalp but it dries more slowly and its more greasy.

If you look for perfomance only, liquid is better but foam does the job too.

Many people use the foam for their morning dose and the liquid for their evening dose. That's what I do.

foam just takes longer and some technique for med-longer hair.

I just part it in rows about 4 times from corner to middle on each half of my hairline, and put out only a thin line of the foam. Then I let it sit there for a few sections and rub it in. In the morning I wait like 20 minutes then I put some mouse in to "wash it off" the hair strands without really washing it off.

Does using the liquid in conjunction with the foam cause extra shedding? I've heard stories of people who've switched from one to the other and experienced a lot of shedding as a result.
