Thanks. Seems I will need to be monitored for estradiol, testosterone, potassium, maybe progesterone?
Hope my doctors cooperate as I would not want to be using this regimen w/ eyes closed....so to speak

I ordered oral spiro last night. I can always quit if the sides are too strong, hair is too important not to take the riskLeave a comment:

Thankyou. I did get my DHT tested when I was on fin+dut, before I quit fin for a short time. It was extremely low, not sure what the exact number was, but way below reference rangebro i understand your suffering, and waiting for so many months must have been a drag!. I hope the fin/dut combo works for you. I swear man, every single day waiting for some thickening has made me bitter and pessimistic. Have you done any blood tests to measure your dht levels? I think it would be wise to see if dht levels are low . I am going to measure my dht at an endo soon just to make sure. Best of luck brah.
No idea how my DHT can be so low yet I am not above baseline. Clearly there is more to andro alopecia than just DHT miniaturizing the follicles. I read a hypothesis once that DHT is just the initial trigger & once a follicle is triggered, other factors continue attacking it even if DHT is 70-90% blocked. No idea what they would be....maybe inflammation, some kind of autoimmune response?
Then again maybe it is just sensitivity to other hormones like TLeave a comment:

My peak results were like 14-16 months or something like that, hard to say for sure
However I was definitely at least @ baseline by 10 months on fin. This is why I am worried about dut, I am over 9 months & below baseline. I started taking fin again w/ my dut. God this is annoying, the uncertainty is killing me
Getting VERY close to pulling the trigger on oral spiro. (Topical spiro seems to be crap) However like you I am very concerned about being feminized & also the shed. Another big shed could srsly f*ck me like nothing elseLeave a comment:

I've been on fin for 5 months now i guess, and my shedding has not slowed down a bit. Honestly my hair feels slightly worse than before, probably from the shedding phase. After seeing some amazing results on *** im thinking of trying spiro!. The only thing that scares me is the feminization and possibly another ****ing shed.

I'm on dutas from inhouse for 2 months and can see new black terminal hairs popping up. I am also on minoxidil foam and ket 2%.Leave a comment:

I know one of the companies that makes finasteride and dutasteride on InHouse is Cipla. Cipla is a billion dollar multinational pharmaceutical company that has been around since 1935. There would literally be no benefit for them in risking their reputation by selling fakes of inexpensive drugs like finasteride and dutasteride.Interesting, I am on month 4 of Dutasteride from Inhouse Pharmacy, previously I was on Fin for about a year but had no results, my hair had got even worse!
Even now on month 4 of Dutasteride my hair is still getting worse.
Should I get on fin as well as Dutas?
I HAVE NOT YET EXPERIENCED ANY REAL SIDE EFFECTS ON EITHER!!!
Are my DHT levels naturaly really high or am I just immune to this medication?
I don't think I've really even experienced any loss in libido, you could call me lucky if it wasn't for that fact I've had zero positive results Either...
If it wasn't for you guys swearing this stuffs legit I'd assume the meds were fakes.
Please reply back with advice someone.
What dose of finasteride were you on for a year? How often did you take it?Leave a comment:

We report on a 47-year-old man who was initially treated with finasteride for androgenetic alopecia. Despite continuous treatment, after year 4 his hair density was not as good as at year 2, and low-dose dutasteride at 0.5 mg/week was added to the finasteride therapy. This resulted in a dramatic inc …
that's why I think they work better together. And they also block different DHT receptors, so combined they are the "safest"* drugs to use , compared to say fin + spiro.
Like I'd look at it like this from safest to most extreme
Niz - minox - fin - dut - spiro
That's super basic, not detailed, and missing a lot of other drugs. But it's to generalize for easy understanding. A lot of research has come out about DUT recently that actually shows /confirms how good it is and it's sides. It's just a step higher than fin.
*safest is a relative term.Leave a comment:

Do you think there is any possibility of one drug (fin or dut) counteracting the other in some way?Leave a comment:

Dude it usually isn't but for some reason (perhaps genetics) there are people who respond better to one drug than the other...so if you can afford it and you really want to play it safe, perhaps stay on fin
Many people who switch to dut stay on fin to play it safe
im getting the dut powder bro if it turns out ppl are undeniably seeing changes from it and it is no doubt legit i will send you a gram
im getting bloodtests to make sure its impacting my DHT same way i did with finLeave a comment:
