What guy? If it works then it is definitely something that people could do with minox being so cheap. My only problem would be my scalp not holding up. I am sure if I used 4x/day I would be flaking everywhere.

Like most OTC medications, at the recommended dose they are reasonably safe. At the recommended dose of two times a day for 5%, Minoxidil is relatively harmless. When you start increasing the percentage or increasing the number of doses per day, that it when you will start running into trouble.

Many people who use Minoxidil benefit from using it only once a day. During the FDA trial to gain FDA approval, the study results indicated that twice a day will give you the best results possible with the least possibility of experiencing the possible negative side effects. The same study also found that using more than the recommended dose does not typically make the medicine more effective - but it does increase the likelihood of experiencing the possible negative side effects of the medication.

I don't get how people say using minox is a pain in the ass. It takes me two minutes to put it on. Not a big deal. My hair is short though, I guess if its longer. Its a small price to pay for potentially more hair.

I've using minoxidil for about 4 years and it's really not a hassle. Like I said before, some people don't deserve treatments.

With longer hair minox is still relatively easy to use, just takes forever to dry is all., and you end up going through it faster as you use more, longer hair sucks it up before it gets to the scalp and you apply more as a result

Forever = 45-60 mins for me. Not spending 4 hours waiting on that shot, much less 2

Its a pain in the ass using it once a day. Try living in Australia where it is plus 32 celcius 4 months of the year. The foam basically comes out liquid if you leave it in your bathroom.

Much rather pop that pill. Hopefully something else comes soon. 20 years since these meds and still no breakthroughs in hairloss treatments WTF are these scientists doing?

I agree with everyone else. Twice a day is absolutely nothing. It takes me a minute to put the foam on, and then I will get results. That is easy for me. Especially if its going to give me hair.
