Applying minox 1x a day?

Your regrowth on minox (or more specifically, the regrowth you will get for the dosage of minox you are using) will peak at the 4 months mark. -
I've been using minox foam for 5 months, along with 1mg fin for 18 months.
I can't tell whether the minox has caused any regrowth, but my hair is definitely thicker than it was a year ago. I don't know whether this is the fin finally kicking in or the minox.
And yeah, I the foam acts like a styling mouse for me two. It's great stuff - light and unscented. It doesn't leave any dandruff or powder in your hair. It doesn't act like a strong mouse or hairspray, but it does have some styling powers!Leave a comment:

I'm using minoxidil 1x EOD becuase of the damn itch and flakes that it causes. I've buzz cut aswell so it's hard to hide.Leave a comment:

I've been using it twice daily for over a year now. I can't really say what it has done since my regimen has fluctuated wildly over that time and I never used to take pics before duta.lol oral minox scares me 10x more than dut/fin ever did.
I also hate the topical though. Tried Kirkland's for a little while, seemed allergic, quit. But I am srsly considering trying a different brand at this point, I need to maximize regrowth for the next year. However I have read some accounts of minox ruining people's hairlines and then the hair not coming back after a year of use, which freaks me out....wondering if 1x vs 2x daily application has anything to do with it?
Anyway, I think the recommended twice daily application exists because that is what the clinical trials used. I remember someone saying that the half-life of minox on the scalp is like 18 hours or so. Thus, I believe that once per day is very close in efficacy to twice per day. I just always went with twice since it only takes a minute or two. Still ****ing hate doing it though.Leave a comment:

I dunno, chromeo, lots of people have success with once a day.
So I usually wait till my hair is just a bit damp to apply it rogaine, then I comb it into the general shape I like, wait till it dries and at that point it feels like I have hair spray in. After its dry I either comb my hair or use my hands to get rid of the clumpiness, so it looks like I have no product in my hair but there's still a decent amount of hold. I still have generally thick hair, very much in the early stages, just some diffuse thinning on the corners of my hairline. So I dunno of my method works for everyoneLeave a comment:

You could put it on when your hair is wet, and when it dries out you will style it.Leave a comment:

So the foam is like a styling aid for you, interesting. How is its hold compared to like a weak hairspray? To me, the foam seems to have a mousse/thickening effect and I use it in the morning before work to style for the rest of the day.
I apply it all over, hairline to crown. I'm actually not sure if the "regrowth" I'm seeing is hair from my recent shed coming back or actual regrowth but its happening all along my hairline so that's good either way. I also have been taking fin for a little over a year.
Also does it have a clumping effect on hair? I tend not to use gel because it clumps hairs together and that tends to expose the scalp in areas
Yes that is definitely a concern.
The good results I have seen always seem to combine the minox with a DHT inhib. I am hoping I might gain some ground this way, but yeah, the thought of permanently shedding worries me like crazyLeave a comment:

I hear you with regards to your last sentence. I've heard that too and that's what scares me away from minoxidil. Plus, I haven't seen anyone experience that great of results with minoxidil.lol oral minox scares me 10x more than dut/fin ever did.

Supposed to be used twice a day. Doubt you'll see the true benefits using it 50% of the time you're supposed to.Leave a comment:

In for responses. I HATE minox. I am honestly close to replacing topical applications with an oral dose but I am afraid I would experience a shed in doing so. People say oral has insane effectiveness but it acts everywhere, more or less. And I already have excess body hair so I would probably have to jump in a vat of Nair every week.Leave a comment:
