    www.shakemd.com

So I'm going for PRP/Acell treatments next week with Dr. Cooley and I got an email today from his office giving me some last minute info. Included in the email was a link to this site http://www.shakemd.com/ and directions to purchase the protein shake as it 'may get the hair to grow sooner'. I was also asked on my initial consultation if I take a protein shake to which I told them yes I do(whey), as do most people that work out. I was told I shouldn't do this as whey protein can cause hair loss and to try these shakes instead. The results pictures on it are pretty interesting, if those results were truly gained by just drinking this product, which obviously seems basically impossible. It's just weird a respected Dr like Cooley would be involved in such a scam, but I guess anything to make some money on the side. Thoughts? Worth trying as just a supplement?

    Sounds really fishy to me:

I was told I shouldn't do this as whey protein can cause hair loss and to try these shakes instead.

well I should have been more clear...this is what they say they use

Our patent pending, proprietary formula is the only all natural, growth hormone free whey protein concentrate to make your hair look thicker and fuller -- unlike whey protein isolate which our studies have shown to accelerate hair loss found in most weight loss and workout products.

I'm actually reading this while drinking a whey protein drink after my workout. I literally almost spewed my shake all over my monitor upon reading this baloney.

              Do your research.

Whey protein does not cause hair loss.
Creatine, however, does cause hair loss.

              Cheers.

The photos of before are with the wet hair and the photos of after are with the dry hair.

I would not trust in this product

This is absolute nonsense. The hairloss racket is sooo ridiculous.
