      Thanks guys.

Stevie I highly doubt I have the donor to hit the scars as my main concern is the top and maybe that vertical scar in the crown. Overall a huge improvement for me.

The fue on the sides were approximately 1300 split between the two and in a fairly concentrated area. The pictures do show it shaved to the bone and for me personally I have experience no white dotting.

I am actually in Macedonia a country in the Balkans at the moment visiting relatives and my wife's family. Been promising to go for the last 16 years but with my situation I just could never muster the courage. I'm finally here and it would have never been possible for me without the improvement.

My next procedure is scheduled for early September. During the healing process I will consume 12-20 raw eggs per day. The extra cholesterol in critical in the wound healing process as anyone with arterial inflammation knows. If fact it’s so good that it occludes inflamed arteries. What many don’t understand it that it’s not the cholesterol one should be afraid of but what is causing the inflammation.

My blood indicators for inflammation specifically homocysteine and c-reactive protein are very low so it is not an issue for me and they are low due to diet. Many believe a dead powder like whey protein is beneficial but I would strongly disagree.

Another important note outside of the healing process, cholesterol is extremely important for a healthy nervous system. It works with the sun to produce vitamin d which is essential to proper nerve function. One only need to looks at those taking statins and they will understand why they often experience excruciating nerve and muscle pain. We could also look at diseases that are nerve related like MS which is often found at higher latitudes as opposed to those living near the equator. If you are experiencing pain it could be as simple as not having enough healthy fat in your diet which would include cholesterol along with plenty of sunshine. But I could be completely wrong here as I’m not a doctor. Maybe your body just doesn’t have enough statins and pain medication.

I believe part of the healing process is the responsibility of the patient and diet is critical in my opinion. What is even more interesting is that a doctor could never recommend one consume more cholesterol as it would be considered out of the mainstream which is exactly how the system is suppose to work.

I will update after the procedure.

Just got back from my procedure with BHR 4 hours ago and relaxing at the hotel. Had a total of 460 grafts placed and although that might not sound like a lot when the yield is exceptional and the grafts are placed just right sometimes that is all that matters.

The numbers came out to be 310 scalp and 150 beard hair in total. I think 12 months from now because of where the grafts were placed down the center channel of the top of the head the improvement will be the most dramatic to date.

I tend to use visualization a lot and when I can see something in my head or do it in my head I know it’s going to happen. I can clearly see the end result with this last procedure so let’s see how it plays out. As always the staff was very personable and the procedure was a piece of cake.

For many going all the way to Brussels might seem like overkill but I know when I’m sitting on that lobby couch I’m in excellent hands and there is not a thing for me to worry about which of course is what matters to me the most. In fact I’m more worried about getting off at the right train stop than my procedure. I don’t often give that much thought but sometimes when I read these forums and see a post or listen to others it becomes a realization for me that’s good to be reminded of.

I will update as usual most especially this first week as many seem to be interested in when they can get back to normal so seeing the healing process on a daily basis for the first week or so can be useful information.

Basically the only medication I need to take at this point would be the 3 anti-biotic pills that were given to me by the clinic. When I get back home I will get back on my regular anti-biotic which is a long rope of garlic hanging from the refrigerator along with a pro-biotic to re-colonize the gut bacteria.

This will be my last daily update. I will update at 1 week and then monthly. The healing is moving on very well. I would like to note that a small amount of grafts were placed in that quarter size area in the hairline with the majority of grafts being placed in that channel that runs down the middle of my head at my request. Dr.Bisanga did mention during surgery that there was not much bleeding in that area and I would imagine that it is mostly scar tissue. It will be interesting to watch and see what the yield will be. Hopefully it will be good but this is where physiology comes into play and that is outside of anyone’s control.

Glad to be back home in Chicago. Of course traveling certainly can add to stress of having a procedure but for me here is the payoff. When I am in that sitting area of BHR the day of my visit regardless of what is going on around me the most important thing is I have absolutely no concern about my safety, welfare and the continuing improvement I know I will achieve in 12 months time. The doctor’s hands are what really matters and anything else takes on very little importance.

Yeah I like to post about my experience and my thoughts about the industry at times. It’s my big middle finger to all the dishonest people in the world many of whom are drawn to an industry that caters to the desperate balding guy.

What is also nice about going to Brussels is I know just about where everything is in the area so I can walk down to the Carrefour and pick up a nice roast chicken along with all those eggs. The clinic is right across the street from the hotel and plenty of guys walking around in the lobby with black bandanas on so I feel right at home. I always respect the privacy of others but it’s also always nice to chat it up with other patients as we share our experiences.

After seeing one patient down by the breakfast buffet that had some major work done by all visual indications, what was even more interesting is he did not cover his head at all. That for me was really impressive just to see someone feel so confident that he didn’t feel the need to hide anything. It actually inspired me not to wear a hat back to Chicago. It was a bit awkward at first but then I just blended right in with the rest of the travelers. Coming into customs at O’Hare airport with a massive amount of people in winding lines I did get a couple of looks at the very high shaved sides of my head but it was more about the haircut as I am pretty much all healed up. Hey at least I have hair up on the top now……….lol…………
