Drybone's Colorado Hair institute Dr Searle 3500 grafts

    Hey everyone.

I wanted to make a diary about my first procedure but unfortunately my results are quite poor. I underestimated how many I needed to have a full head of hair. I was also afraid it may not work for me. On top of this my surgeon did not put in 2/3rds of the grafts she said she did.

My surgeon did not bother to call me at all or follow up with me in any way. I tried sending her an email after 6 months to tell her the grafts grew very well (not even mentioning the poor coverage) but she never even replied. She has had many complaints and is embroiled in more now I suspect.

Chris from the Colorado Hair institute insists the $2 hair grafts are for real. In fact , he has paid for my plane fair and sent me my itinerary without any down payment from myself. He is even paying for the hotel room for one night and picking me up for the procedure.

I have high hopes that once we see how good Dr Searle will be, everyone will be lining up for him as he has the lowest costs in the business.

I will be uploading photos as I go get my haircut tomorrow . Wish me luck folks !!!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Should name the physician that did your job so that others can avoid going to her practice.

Her name is Mariana Pizzaro, and hell yeah, I am disappointed .

But, the hairs she did put in grew . My scalp reacted really well. I sent all the pictures to Chris and my procedure is next Tuesday. I cant wait (well I can wait for the pain )

But the painkillers should be ok

I'm so having second thoughts on a HT. I'm kinda giving hope on treatments, and at the same time it's like I can save up the $14k, and do something else with it.

Just don't give two ****s anymore...

          Today is the day.

I am getting my hair cut so you can all see the final result of my first procedure and see my starting point.

I am flying from Tampa to Chicago , then after a brief stay flying to Denver .

I will post photos to keep you all updated.

            Well, here we go everyone.

I flew out from Tampa at 6pm on Sept 16th. I landed in Chicago and then moved onto Denver and ended up in a rental car about 1am and drove out to lone tree which was about 30 min. For those who havent been to Denver, its a unbelievably clean prosperous town.

I got my hair cut to about an inch long so that we would have a good idea where we started off.

I cant get the photo to format up on the screen from flickr. right click to open it.

Lowest costs doesn't necessarily equate to best procedure / results

Hey Dave. I understand the need to spin the negative but on the other hand you can get excellent value for you graft dollar too.

In my first operation, it added up to $5.70 per FUT graft. Not much of a bargain.

Instead of this hybrid thread, I have made two new threads. The Pizarro thread and now the Searle thread for my new one. Post your concerns in the Pizarro one and then wait to see how it turns out in the Searle one.

I have asked the admin to shut this thread down.
