I am lucky enough to have a couple of friends going with me to Belgium for the surgery. They plan to do some sightseeing while I'm in surgery. I will be looking back on this thread and posting about my "journey" in the months (and years...) to come. Regardless of a positive or negative outcome, I will keep the forum updated and be posting plenty of photos.
    Best of Luck Chris...!

Think positive, your results will be great...!

The travelling is not that big of a deal. If you take a direct flight it’s only 8 hours and with 2 movies on United, a couple of meals and your there. Coming back to the States they will ask you to remove your hat at the airport in Brussels if you are wearing one. In the past someone would just take the hat check it and hand it back to me this time around I had to run the hat through the machine. Does time all of a sudden slow down, just a little.......lol......but really who around you cares, no one and this is coming from someone that has plenty of scars to be seen. Not sure how long you will be in Belgium but if it’s a week you will not even need a hat coming back.

I travelled alone for each of my procedures but you have friends coming along so it will be great support and less stress for you. The most confusing part for me has always been making sure I got on the right train but people are friendly. If you are not sure just ask that is if you are taking the train.

Best wishes on a great outcome and I think the work will turn out excellent. Look forward to seeing you updates.

Not sure why I thought you were coming from the States but even easier coming from the UK. All the best to you.

        Hello Chris

I will also be having a HT with the same doc at a similar time to you next year
Are you getting the Eurostar over? If so can you let me know what the story is regarding the train to Haselt splitting up? A post on your blog would be most appreciated.

I am of a similar disposition to yourself with regards to Propecia. Not for me.
However after 10 years of hair loss I am barely a NW3. I will use minox and nizoral. We also have toppik when the hair on top thins out which it will. By that stage Aderans/Histogen should be available.

Just wondering if you are adopting a similar approach?

        Thanks

        J

Thanks topcat. Can you remember anything specific about making sure I get the right train? That part is worrying me a bit.

          Hi J,

Yeah I'm getting a Eurostar there and back. Seemed the less stressful option. Not sure about the train splitting up, hopefully topcat will clarify. I don't mind asking people for help if necessary.

I only have recession at the temples. My plan is to establish a strong hairline, and hope genetics won't let me down in terms of the crown. If I follow the pattern of my maternal grandfather, I should be fine, but if not then I'm hopefully buying myself a fair few years in which time there may be more options out there. I just want to maximise my youth to be honest.

Best of luck! One of my favorite results I have seen was a Feriduni hairline which used something like 1,900 grafts.

Well BHR is in Brussels so for me I just flew into the airport and the train is right there. I got off at the wrong stop along the way and ended up somewhere out in the country but I just got on a train going back in the other direction easy since there were only 2 tracks. The main train station in Brussels is Midi Station and there are just so many trains and so many platforms you have to make sure you get on the right one coming back to the airport. Basically if you have the town name or section of town, the train time and the right platform you should be good I guess that is considering the train in exactly on time.

But I’m not sure if you even come into Brussels. I’m guessing you are taking the Eurostar, not sure if that goes direct to where you need to be or you need to make a connection in Brussels. If it is in Brussels I would imagine it’s that same station. Definitely ask the clinic and have it all down on paper and having friends come along makes it easier for you. Hey at least you are on the same continent.....lol......maybe someone here on the forums can assist with more information.

Whenever I read your posts I read them with a Geordie accent, do you have one?

You have shared your photos here and I have seen them. Your results are great, even considering it's only been 10 months. I do not understand why you are less than impressed.
