Obviously, being a hair transplant surgeon I am not really in favor of hair systems (pieces). However, not everyone is a good candidate for hair transplantation. There is a hair system call "Virtual Reality" that I have seen recently and looks more natural than any other hair piece I have ever seen. You can go on line and find out where the nearest dealer or vendor is to you.
They are not inexpensive and where they really get you is in the monthly maintenance. When patients ask me about the comparison financially between a hair piece and a hair transplant I tell them its like renting an apartment versus buying a house. With a hair piece you keep paying year after year and at the end you have no additional hair. Where as a hair transplant you will spend more money up front, but in the end you have some equity or something to show for it.

You will find a wide range of hair systems of quality and price. Like anything else, you get what you pay for.

Not everyone is a candidate for surgery so in those rare occaisons, a hair system is the only viable option for those who have advanced hairloss and yet still desire full coverage.

Do your research thoroughly before making any purchases.
