Finasteride and shock loss after a HT-Diffusing NW5-6

Hey everyone! I am a diffusing NW 5-6 and I was just wondering if being on 1.25mg of finasteride and minoxidyl can help prevent shock loss after a HT since it strengthens the folicles. Thanks so much in advance!

Most HT Docs advise people to take one or both to help strenghten the transplanted hair and let it grow in.

There are no studies that can prove this theory. I have had patietns who tried Finasteride or Propecia or both and some have had very liitle post operative shock loss while others have still had a good amount of shock loss. The health of the original hair in the area and the careful creation of recipient sites between those hairs are both very important factors in this process.
