    disgusting

The 39-year-old Dancing On Ice judge attempted to hide his thinning hair with a tablecloth as he dined out with a female friend on Old Compton Street.

I had my suspicions he was wearing concealer and misleading the public about his true results for his transplant when I saw him on ' This Morning' on Uk TV.

What makes it worse, is that Mr Ziering is a recommended doctor on here.

I am shocked and I thought this was transparent.

Personally, I would have Mr Ziering removed from the website, as he was sat next to him on the sofa chatting away and taking all the credit.

They should be avoided if they are prepared to deceive the public like this.

I kind of thought scalp concealer was a regular part of appearing on TV, like facial makeup.

      Actors for films do.

You do not when advertising the fact he had a HT and is passing off the result displayed as the result of a HT.

Not mention in the interview with concealer on, and Mr Ziering was perfectly comfortable sat, next to him taking all the plaudits.

      Deception at its worst!

All of these celebs wear scalp concealer on TV. I am sure it was Mr. Gardener’s idea also to look as good as he can on camera. This was all discussed on Spencer Kobren’s radio show a few months back and I think on the live Jason Gardener surgery also. If remember right, I think Dr. Ziering even discussed it. I highly doubt that a surgeon of Dr. Ziering’s caliber needs to try to fool the public. Jason Garner’s results are crazy good for how little hair he had to start with.

That is the not the point though.

How about all of the surgeons, for every patient they perform surgery on, take before and after pictures caked with concealer.

That is very misleading to any future hair transplant patient about what is possible to achieve.

I personally do not agree with that at all and clearly, he is not that good of a surgeon.

I have seen Bobman on tv(patient of Hasson&Wong) who had a remarkable transformation and they did not tell their patient to put concealer in.

            Chrisdav,

I have commented on this before but got called a hater.. go figure that one out..

Remarkable really that anyone can sit on national TV and informed the public of their supposed results of a HT yet embellish the results quite clearly with concealer and misrepresent their results in order to make themselves look better and the results much better than they actually were with no mention of the concealers whatsoever yet the opposite and made out the results were solely from a HT procedure.

His crown on the TV interview was thicker than fur yet the article picture has outed him for clearly embellishing the result as has no hair in that area, Um i wonder if he thicken up the front too..

I just hope all the patients that walk through that clinics door are informed that the actual results Garnder displays in public are not the actual results in person... im sure they do...

Thanks for bringing this to the forums attention as i think many guys honestly believe that Garnders results displayed on TV were actual results when in fact were not.

I doubt he was told to put concealer on by the doctor, but either way I think it’s great the a celebrity like Jason Gardener came out publically to talk about hair transplants. I think that is what the focus should be on, not who’s better H&W or Dr. Ziering.

I would have had respect for him if he had come out and mentioned:

"This is what you can get from a HT AND concealer"

The fact off the matter is no one can get that coverage and that density from one HT alone. FACT! Yet this was how he portrayed it.

Now if you do not think that is misrepresenting HT's and you do not think 1000's of guys have been mislead and will believe that then our opinions differ GREATLY!

I see your points, but to me it's not such a big deal.

That’s fine, I just think we should focus on the positive, not the perceived negatives. The more exposure from celebrates about hair loss and hair transplants the better.

All for that - however VERY important that the public are not fed BS and lies and that results are not misrepresented or embellished, otherwise the expectations of the vulnerable hair loss sufferer will most certainly leave them very disappointed and deceived at the end of the day. Lets face it deception is an only too common industry attribute

That's why we have this forum. I think that all doctors and consultants might not give the full story on their websites or when they meet with people. They will always put their best foot forward. This is why the Bald Truth is so important.

I agree 100%, not disclosing you are wearing concealer when speaking or showing off your hair transplant is being completely deceptive and misleading.

As we have learned always embrace your haters and I also agree. Haters never have a logical answer to a valid point or question but it still is always a good idea to put them in their place.

Focusing on the positives makes for very poor decision making and makes absolutely zero sense. I’m sure Joe Rogan of UFC fame was focusing just on the positives when he decided or was led to believe that having his strip procedure was a good idea. He is now referring to the scar on the back of his now shaved head as a vagina smile, I guess that’s keeping it positive almost everyone likes a good vagina.

I hope that bit of reality is not being too negative.

Yeah, it all seems pretty disingenuous to me. I can understand if Jason Gardener was wearing concealer if he was promoting for a movie or making a media appearance. Everyone wants to look good, especially an actor, and they don't want the oftentimes vicious media to make fun of them for having a bald spot. But if you're putting yourself out there to be a walking positive representation of hair transplant results, then it is very disingenuous and "false advertising" to put concealer on. It will obviously trick the public into thinking that he got much better results from his hair transplant than he actually did. And if he didn't feel comfortable showing a bald spot on TV, then don't advertise your hair transplant on UK TV. After all, he does widely advertise his results all over the internet (hairline results, not results on the back of his head). Hell, I was even on one of my rock n roll websites the other day and there was an advertisement for Ziering Medical with a photo of Jason Gardener.
But I don't know, I'm very skeptical of lots of HT surgeons, even ones that are part of the IAHRS. Because if they've been practicing long enough, then it's all but assured that they at one time used the primitive plugs in hair transplantation, since FUT and FUE weren't made available back then. And everyone knows that those plugs looked awful, unnatural, and were a downright mess.
