What is it that you don't understand and how short is " short " to you ?

Some people want to restore their hairline, maybe grow it to 1 to 2 inches ( a longer version of a buzz cut that still frames their face ) and and have hair on their head and not have to grow their hair 4 or 5 inches long and look like a glorified comb over .

One to two inches is not short to me - for a male anyways. I think buzz cut when someone says they want their hair short. So I guess I think for a male, short is less than 1 inch.

I understand that 1-2 inches is not short.

I am not talking about the top of the head. I am talking about the short back and sides, this is a few millimetres long where the donor strip would hypothetically come from.

In your opinion is there or is there not a problem with someone wanting that Ricky Martin hair cut who wants FUT done? If so why?

Not short all over. It's a common style for men to cut it short on the back and sides and let it get a bit longer on top. I used to have my hair cut to 3/8 inch on the sides and back and then maybe about 1-1.5 inches on top. Now some people might want to go for 3/8 inch on the back and sides and maybe have it 1.5-2 inches on top with transplanted hair. It's a legitimate concern for guys. That thick on the sides, thin on the top look is not a good one. We want it the other way around ideally.

I usually recommend patients wait 8 to 10 months before undergoing FUE
filling in of a donor site scar.
