I am 27 years old and chemically relaxed my hair once when I was 18 and a second time when I was about 21. The second time around I suffered minor burns from it. As of now my hair loss is about a norwood 3, with aggressive loss around my temples and crown area. Although it is progressively thinning out on top, I still have a decent amount of hair on the top of my head. Is it possible that chemically relaxing my hair has led to this? I do not recall my hair falling out at the time of relaxing it. I really started noticing the effects of hair loss around 23. I did take the hairdx test a while back and I was told that I have a moderate predisposition to mbp. If this is truly caused by chemicals, wouldn't it be more diffuse? Would a hair transplant still be a viable option?
Hindsight is always 20/20 and I now wish I wasn't so stupid in using that harsh stuff on my head.
