Hey Folks,
So I'm the type that typically will go through forums (just not hair loss ones), get all the information I need and then not contribute myself. After spending a fair amount of time on this forum, I've decided that I wanna tell my story and share my progression, as this forum has helped me
I'm 28/m who has seen rapid hair loss over the last 2-3 years. I remember growing up and my hair being very thick and having to get my hair thinned out at the barber shop. About two years ago, I visited Bosley (having done no research) and received a consultation. I wasn't very impressed and decided to put it off. I also had been doing Rogaine, but after 6 months or so went off it as Rogaine typically doesn't help the front of your head hair loss
Towards the end of last year, after doing a bunch of research in this forum and others, I decided to visit Dr. Lindsey. I ended up getting a prescription from Dr. Lindsey for Propecia, but after taking it a few weeks I decided to stop for fear of side effects. Dr. Lindsey is definately very direct with you and tells it how it is, which I like.
Well I finally have made the decision to have a hair transplant with Dr. Lindsey this month. I have the Norwood 5A case and Dr. Lindsey will be doing the strip technique to plant 3000 grafts. Based on what I've read about Dr. Lindsey, I'm confident things will turn out well for me. If anyone can give me some advice, or experiences they've had with Dr. Lindsey, it would be greatly appreciated.
I plan on posting my pre-op, op and post op pictures as they become available.
