Two AlviArmani physicians have been included in the American Hair Loss Association’s 2026 guide to the Best Hair Transplant Surgeons in the World.
There is no official global ranking system for hair transplant surgeons, and many widely circulated “best surgeon” lists are based on limited information, marketing visibility, or short-term results. At the same time, there are clear differences in ethics, surgical planning, physician involvement, donor management, repair experience, and long-term patient outcomes. This guide was created by the American Hair Loss Association to help patients identify surgeons who meet a higher standard in a field where it can be difficult to distinguish between experience, marketing, and long-term results. For patients searching for “best hair transplant surgeons” or “top hair transplant doctors,” this guide is intended as a vetted, medically grounded starting point rather than a ranking or guarantee of outcome.
While surgical techniques and team structures may vary between practices, consistent, high-quality outcomes in hair restoration are typically associated with several core principles. These include appropriate patient selection, thoughtful long term planning around the finite nature of the donor supply, careful donor management, and a level of physician involvement and oversight appropriate to the complexity of the procedure. In addition, the experience and training of the surgical team, the consistency of results over time, appropriate medical management before and after surgery, and a demonstrated ability to manage both primary procedures, post-operative care, and corrective cases all play a meaningful role in determining the overall quality of care.
For this reason, inclusion in this guide is not based on any single technique or rigid surgical model, but rather on a broader evaluation of how a practice consistently delivers results, manages risk, and serves the long term interests of the patient. Dr. Craig Barton
