Photo of FUE donor site at 24hrs and 7 days after. That's some impressive healing.

Impressive. However my question is this, is the ECM just speeding up healing or can it actually improve healing to the point where the end result is less visible scarring and less hypopigmentation rather than just quicker healing?Comment

The general consensus seems to be that the ECM provides a scaffold, in which cellular proliferation is directed more naturally (i.e. fibrous tissue will be basketweave like instead of cross-linked in one direction, as in normal wound healing). Theoretically, this should allow melanocytes to migrate into the wounded area, hence preventing hypopigmentation.Comment

Yeah. Plus it's almost as if he believes his own bs about LLLT but I'm sure he's laughing all the way to the bank. Dr. Feller took him to school on LLLT on the show a few years back. It was hilarious.Comment

Listen to the low level laser light debate between Dr. Alan Feller and Dr. Alan Bauman Part One Part Two Part Three
Here you go. Some funny stuff. Bauman is like "But rat studies" and "Transfers energy to the mitochondria". Feller laughs and is like "Yeah laser doesn't penetrate tissue paper let alone skin."Comment

what i find very curious is that the results of transplant really vary per surgeon...what feriduni does with 5.000 grafts, someone like bauman could probably never do...Comment

Graft density, graft placement and angulation, zoning of 2s & 3s, lateral slit are all so mega important. Feriduni like Feller, H&W, the Shapiros bros and others really know how to maximise every graft. There's actually some different philosophies when it comes to all these matters plus customisation to the individual. Dr. Lam has an excellent blog on the design aspects of hair restoration. The central forelock being the most vital arguably.
Check out his blog. I think it's essential reading for anyone considering a procedure. It helps us to understand the art of HT plus the limitations.

Okay, logical that some people will truly master that art then...
