    Recommend HT doctor

    Hi All,

I've been reading the forums for days but I just can't decide on a doctor.

I'm a 31 year old asian with Norwood 2 baldness. I was recommended to do 1000 grafts by a doctor at bosley. Fortunately I wised up and canceled my procedure there.

I've been taking propecia for 2 months now just to hold on to what I have.

I want the best doctor in southern california who can do 1000 grafts FUE.

    Thanks everyone.

I've never had a transplant, so take my advice for what it is.

I wouldn't settle on a doctor quite yet. You seem like you need a really small procedure, but having it can be a big deal potentially locking you into a lifetime of HT work.

Get the opinions of SEVERAL doctors. Most will do online consults for free and the information you will get both general and specific to your situation will be invaluable.

It's not a good idea to choose a doctor based on their location, the size of the procedure they recommend, or the cost. You want to make your decision based on what you believe is best for you.

Another thing that is really beneficial is going to meet a doctor face to face so they can see your scalp under a microscope and determine your donor density and areas of miniaturization. You can also get an idea of what your scalp laxity is like - I know that you said you were interested in FUE, but it would be a good thing to know in case you ever want or need to do a strip procedure.

There aren't any shortcuts. The best way to go about it is get as educated as you can, get the opinions of several reputable surgeons, then make up your mind. The nice thing about it is that it won't cost you very much, but going about it this way can save you a lifetime of unwanted issues. Good luck.

You were very wise to cancel Bosley in my honest and personal opinion based on my experience with them 4 strip surgeries

Do not rush in, research the forum and dont ever restrict yourself by geography.

      Best regards

you can research all you want, but when it is your head there is only one result that matters.

Good docs have bad days more often than they advertise.

You need to protect yourself in writing and their aren't many docs that will agree to that.

If you (docs) would please stand and be counted.
