Hello, I suppose this feedback is for any younger men in the south Florida area who are still on the fence about getting a hair transplant or not. I am 23 years old and just went through with a procedure of 2000 graphs. I initially went in a year before the procedure where he prescribed me to Propecia and told me everything I would want to know about hair surgery, the pros and cons. After a year of debating I finally went through with it and I would just like to share my experience with other people.
The process does take about 5-6 hours but it goes by fast, by the time I finished watching 40 Year Old Virgin and Superbad, the procedure was just about done. It was virtually painless minus the first 5 minutes when they put the anesthetic in. Dr. Glen Charles did the procedure for me, and while it is still too early to see results I feel he did an excellent job. After looking at my head after the surgery, it wasn't nearly as bad as the videos I have seen on youtube, which initially turned me off to the whole procedure. His assistants were extremely nice and comforting (not to mention attractive) and I feel really good about the whole thing.
He was up front with me and told me what I needed to know, not what I wanted to hear. You definitely can tell he would rather have you cancel an appointment then go through with a procedure you are uncomfortable with.
I spent about a year researching hair transplant procedures and have found much higher patient feedback and much lower prices with Glen Charless as opposed to Bosley.
I know it seems like I am an employee of his the way I am preaching him up, but really I just want to help other younger guys like myself who feel they are too young or a little too nervous/scared to go through with the procedure.
Unlike other doctors, he gave me his cell phone number to call if I have any questions, and he said to call at 3:00 am if i felt like it was an emergency. If you would like to send me an email in a few months when the results come in please feel free to, my email is tlb05f@fsu.edu
