Getting on the Big 3 before a transplant?

    Hi guys!
Im a 41 year old male and would like to get a transplant for the receding temples and thinning on the crown. However, I dont know if this is correct, but I think I read somewhere that you should be on Fin. for a while before a transplant. Not sure about if I should be on Minox as well for the same amount of time. If so, what is the recommended time to regularly using meds before getting a surgery?
Any helpful advice is welcome, Im new to all of this
    Thanks so much!!!

    Hey man,

Hair loss is progressive so its vital you keep the wolves at the door and create a strong foundation to work against especially if venturing into the process of HTs.

Being on a reg also helps strengthen things and helps hair resist against shockloss too.

It would be highly recommended if not already to prevent further loss of native hair as its vital you hold on to as much native hair as possible to consider getting on finasteride 1mg daily and minoxidil - It will in turn mean fewer HT's as will stop the progression of loss. Also look at getting on GroMd Shampoo to help keep hair strong and healthy too as in turn this will mean you help stop further loss and improve overall health and strength of hair. Any reputable dr will advise starting these and looking then at surgery in 8 -12 months as likely you'll benefit from some regrowth, which in turn will mean fewer ht's are required.

Like a builder who is going to build a wall to stand the test of time - they need build it on a foundation

      Thanks for the reply!
I read a lot where people are saying get on finasteride for a year THEN jump to minoxidil if there isnt much improvement.
Is this accurate? Is it not recommended to start both drugs at the same time?
      Thanks
