The use of non-terminal hairs for crown density

I was wondering if anyone has performed or considered using non-terminal hairs to add to crown density.

I figure if you take lower donor hair (which is more prone to hair loss) and move it to the crown, even though it will likely die it would be consistent with ageing.

    Thoughts?

Not advisable to use nape hair - opt for body hair instead

In case you have beard and body hair (they survive for life), do not opt for non terminal hair.
Can you share some pictures of your crown and beard hair?

It’s the opinion of some people that BHT beard transplants can look unnatural, due to beard hair being darker, thicker and having a different grow rate.

I'm curious as to why nape hairs would be unsuitable? Even if the grafts die in the end it will somewhat look natural on the crown.

Dr. Umar seems to have good results with beard and nape hair:
