After Hair transplant how long can I expect to have hair long tem?

    Basically I’m 33 years old , I was a Norwood 5 I had a hair transplant a few days ago (6000 grafts )
I started taking 1.25 mg of finesteride daily a few days ago , relistickly if I get a good result I’m
Happy with growth wise how long is it likely to last ? I know it’s how long is a piece of string question but I’ve read the donor areas( back of head) neck and chest don’t get effected by dht so should be dht resistant ? So providing I take finesteride and it’s well tolerated am I likely to never need another or is it more likely I will in say 10 years ? Thanks

I had transplants when I was around your age. I didn't have finasteride back then. My hair loss never stopped. When finasteride and later Avodart became available, they halted and even seemed to reverse it a little, but then the hair loss resumed a year later. When I was 60 years old, the transplanted hairs began to decrease in diameter, until now my head is a complete trainwreck. All in all, I got two years of half decent, but far from perfect results right after the transplants were done. But they were the happiest two years of my adult life. For those two years, it was worth all the misery.

Thanks only 2 years seems very quick I’m expecting a lot more ? Especially when I read about the donor hairs being dht proof ? There’s no real info about this , I guess I just gotta hope it lasts a long time
