Hey all
Like most I’ve been reading and reading on here ever since I decided to go ahead with a hair transplant. I’ve started to have some
doubts about the effectiveness of the surgery around the 10 month mark and am after some opinions please.
Story is my hair started receding at about 21 y/ and year after year I watched it go. I’d go from skinhead for a while to growing it out and just rocking it as best I could. However at the grand old age of 35 I decided I wanted a transplant, researched extensively and chose Dr Resul Yamam in Turkey. Everywhere else in terms of surgeon and location was out of my price range.
I had 2,500 grafts in the front and temple, the surgery was a massive success untill around a month ago. Initially after the first months shed and subsequent regrowth the hair was coming in thicker and thicker as each month passed. Even so far as looking like the hair was naturally there all along. All without finasteride or Minoxidil. I was over the moon and anticipating even further thickness as the months went on.
However in the last month or so the hair has changed drastically. It is now course like straw, not as thick and not covering as much scalp as it once was. I can see scalp where a month ago I could not. It’s clear to me that some of the transplanted hair has shed over the last month. I know so as have been taking pictures every other day during this period. Has anyone expierenced or heard of a shed months after a transplant ?
I know we have to be patient and wait 12-18 months for full results and a successful transplant usually does take more than one surgery but I’m worrying more and more about it and after some helpfull Advice please. Thank in advance
