23 Yr Old - 7 Months On Finasteride No Progress

Hi started using finasteride after I noticed that my hair was thinning around the crown area. I consulted hair experts in my city and they also confirmed that my hair was thinning. I was told to start with 5mg of finasteride, but I went against the advice I was given and now I'm currently taking 1mg of finasteride.

I've been taking 1mg of finasteride daily for around 6/7months, and it doesn't look like im making any progress. The front/crown is still thinning fairly quickly.

    What should I do?
    Use other products?
    Up my dosage?

        They work completely differently.

Minoxidil was previously used to treat hypertension or high blood pressure condition. Taken in pill form or orally, it widens or dilates the blood vessels in the body causing less resistant to blood flow. Unfortunately, for some patients especially the women, it has a tendency of causing excessive hair growth. After noting that this side effect would be welcomed by other people, drug manufacturers came up with a topical solution to help with the hair loss while avoiding the dilation of the artery of the oral drug.

Usually, give it a year to see if anything changes. Some folks found improvement with rogaine and finasteride combo. On the safe side, get a vitamin blood screening too, because lack of vitamin d and other things can also cause hair issues due to deficiencies. Best of luck.
