Get Hair Turkey + Advice on hair regrowth timeline

Hi everyone,

My boyfriend is looking to get a hair transplant (FUE) at the end of this month/early next month and is insisting he wants to go to Turkey to do it (something I am not overly happy about.)

Has anyone had any experience with Get Hair Turkey? They have a rep here in London and then you fly to Istanbul for the treatment.

Also, we are getting married in July so I have concerns he won't have enough regrowth to be happy for the wedding. I'd much rather he waited until afterwards - how long does it usually take to start seeing regrowth?

Hi Laura,

You’re instinct it spot on. While it is possible to have a good hair transplant in Turkey there are only maybe two or three clinics that are known to be doing very good work. Most are just hair mills, with some disastrous outcomes. Check with IAHRS.org to see who is recommended in Turkey. It could also be bad timing to have a hair transplant just 6 months before your wedding. Even if everything works out your boyfriend might not have much growth at the 6th month mark and might even look worse than he does now, hair and scalp wise. Best to wait till after the wedding and to really do your research.

Also ask yourself, would you have any kind of surgery, after simply speaking with and negotiating with a salesman. This is a big deal, and if it goes badly, both of your lives will be changed in wasy you could never imagine. Tell your boyfriend not to rush it and to find the best clinics to consult wth.
