    Repair work

I recently had a consultation with Dr. Jack Fisher in Nashville, TN to discuss repair work. I had a procedure with Bosley one year ago for 1900 grafts and the results are very poor. He was helpful and kind at the consultation. Is anyone familiar with Dr. Fisher? Any information will be very helpful. I am 23 and trying to improve my situation while I'm young.

I'm personally not familiar with him but it's a great sign that he is a IAHRS-recommended physician. What course of action did he recommend?

You're likely aware of this, but you are very young to already be looking into a second procedure...what went wrong at Bosley? Was the yield just poor, or is actual repair work needed?

Thank you for the reply. He recommended camouflaging the grafts with another procedure. I had poor yield and there is some pitting along the hairline. The donor scar is okay. I was also curious if anyone knows of Dr. William Parsley in Louisville, KY. He is also a recommended surgeon.

I know that Dr. Fisher is an IAHRS surgeon, but Dr. Parsley is not, so I would probably consider finding another IAHRS surgeon if you are looking for a second opinion. Do you have any images of your past transplant that you can post? You might get some good opinions here on the forum.

As Winston mentioned, a second (or third or fourth) opinion is always a good idea (even if you end up going back to the first doctor you consulted with). A lot of HT physicians offer free online consults so it might be a good idea to find and contact a few IAHRS recommended physicians and send them your photos. They will then be able to recommend an appropriate course of action, give you an idea of how many grafts you will need and approximately how much the procedure will cost. It would also be a good idea to post some photos here as there are likely others who have had similar experiences and might be able to share some further advice.
