Who are the best FUE docs in the US in your opinion?

    Is Rahal good?

    I've also been considering Wesley.

There are a lot of good ones these days..I like Ron Shapiro, Cole, Rahal, Alexander, Hasson&Wong. there are more but those are off the top of my head. I favor Ron Shapiro because of cost, professionalism, care and excellence. I am sure there are others too.

All good names suggested by Robodoc. Dr. Konior in Chicago is also a great option. And of course, I had great success with Dr. Mohebi in Los Angeles and definitely think he's one of the best (hence why I came on board as a patient advocate after my hair transplant). I've actually had a couple friends have hair transplants with him since mine and they have all been thrilled with their results and the overall experience.

A good starting point is to focus on those who are members of the IAHRS and narrow it down from there. You'll find that while there are going to be quite a few surgeons with fantastic reputations and a proven track record, it will ultimately come down to your own personal preference when choosing who you want to go with. Who do you get the best feeling about? Who do you hit it off with? Who do you instinctively trust? There's no one surgeon that is right for everyone, so do your research, ask lots of questions, get at least 3 different consultations/opinions with your top choices, weigh the pros and cons of each one, and then listen to your gut.

      Best of luck!

There are several excellent FUE surgeons in the US. Take your time to research who is right for you based on your own goals and situation.
        Do NOT rush in.

It's hard to tell who is good. THere are certainly good results all over the place. I'm looking for someone who is consistent and does their own work rather than using technicians.

I won't list my surgeon, as I'm now 10 months post-op and feel that I got a below optimal result, but knowing what I know now, I'd probably go to Europe. If I was dead set on staying in the U.S. I'd choose between one of the following:

            Konior
            Mohebi
            Shapiro
            Bernstein (ARTAS only)

I see some new surgeons have appeared on the scene, but the established names in this field are still on the tip of everyone's tongue.

Here are some FUE results we recently posted. Many more to come.

This 35-year-old patient came to Dr Rahal a Norwood 3, with the goal to restore his receded hairline and strengthen his temple points. Dr Rahal transplanted 2553 grafts using the FUE method. Surgery Type - FUE Recipient Area Treated - 50cm Grafts Transplanted - 2553 Recipient Graft Density - 51 grafts/cm Recipient Hair

Here we have a great example of an FUE patient receiving a relatively small number of grafts with maximum achievement. Dr Rahal designed a conservative hairline, reconstructing the lateral (temple) areas and adding density without lowering the front. This opens up a much greater range of styling options for the patient.

This 26 year old patient came to Dr Rahal to create a hairline and fill in the frontal area for his first procedure. The plan is to address the other zones in a second surgery. FUE was chosen as the patient likes to keep his hair shorter. Using 2557 grafts, Dr Rahal designed a hairline that compliments the patient's features

This 46-year-old patient came to Dr Rahal with the goal to restore his hairline and frontal zone. He was a 3 on the Norwood scale. Dr Rahal designed a hairline to suit the patient's expectations of filling in the receding area; and for this 2564 grafts were transplanted using the FUE method. The density at 36 grafts per cm
