I think the common suggestion is to stay with hair transplant surgeon who is part of the IAHRS www.iahrs.org. There are a couple of surgeons in Europe but none in Turkey. -
Consult with a variety of Docs to get a feel. Do not limit yourself to geography however.
Some solid clinics in Europe if you want to stay local to Turkey.Visit my website: SPEXHAIR

Hi
I am from Turkey and I have done the research. Melike Kulahci is the best in Turkey.
I had a meeting with her couple weeks ago, at first I wasn't sure but then I saw some of my friends that had hair transplant from her then I decided.
Infact I have an operation scheduled with her next week.Comment

Hi donaldo,
Well I had the operation and it went well. It hurt a lot thoughand it took like 8 to 9 hours.
overall for now I am very happy with it.
So if you want it done in Turkey I suggest you have Dr. melike kulhaci do it. I am sure that she is the best one in Turkey, I wouldnt have done it unless otherwise.
She is the most expensive one in Turkey but its still a lot cheaper that the one in the States and Europe.Comment

Hi gorilla,
Thanks for letting me know how your transplant went.
Was just wondering how many grafts did you have and the price you paid?
I was quoted 1.80 euros per graft. The price is very good like you said compared to europe and usa,i would be travelling from the uk maybe october
to have mine done.
You said it hurt alot, did they not numb the area so you could not feel the pain and did you get any pain after the transplant at all.
thanks donald.Comment

Well at first they gave 2 Euros but after negotiations, they discounted the price to 1.80 Euros.
The surgery took like 8-9 hours and it was very uncomfortable, It is really frustrating to lie in the same place for that many hours.
About the pain, it is actually cause by the injections to numb the head. They probably gave me 20-30 injections.
But overall I am happy with it but I will see the actual results in about a year.Comment
