As most posters know, our hair grows in small naturally occurring groupings of hair called follicular units. These follicular units typically contain anywhere from 1 to 4 hair follicles- sometimes even 5 or 6. In the past couple of weeks, however, Dr. Cole has extracted 7-hair follicular units from two different patients.
Although finding 7-hair grafts is very unusual, FUE patients who generally have high calculated density (the average number of hairs per follicular unit) are lucky because they can achieve excellent coverage with a limited number of grafts.
