Cold weather affect on newly transplanted grafts

I am on my 15 days post op and since it is cold outside , below 0 degree, sometimes my scalp gets exposed to outside temperature, not for long though. I would say when I am filling gas in my car , walking from the parking lot to my workplace building , cleaning off ice from my car etc . 5-10 mins activities in brief. For longer time I wear a baseball hat.

Just wondering if the transplanted grafts can be damaged if exposed in outside temparature?

Also just to get it cleared, my understanding is as long as the hair follicles are burried and secured underneath the scalp, hair growth is guaranteed unless there is something totally different going on? Is that correct ?

No, you're fine. The hair we see on our heads is dead tissue. It is only the follicle inside that is alive and it is nice and cozy at 98.6 degrees F. Just don't get frostbite and you'll have no worries
