I was thinking recently about an experimental FUE transaction that would extract every possible follicle in the entire side/donor zone and organizing them up top to form somewhat of a, hopefully, dense mohawk-like pattern. Not trying to completely cover the top, just enough of an area for a cosmetically acceptable hairdo with the rest of the head being essential bald. Would this work? I know that certain areas of the donor zone are susceptible to thinning and that FUE contains the risk of white dotted scars but the thinning isn't much of a concern for me and if the scarring occurs I was wondering about a beard and body hair transplant to 'pepper' in lightly around the rest of the head to blend out the white dots somewhat.
I'm probably about norwood 2 or 3 with diffuse thinning and it's not something I thinking of doing anytime soon, just a thought for the future.
Sounds kind of silly now that I've written it down but I was wondering if anyone here is aware of any such extreme cases or if they had any concerns that I haven't brought up yet.
Picture attached is somewhat of what I was thinking, although the composition on top would have to be a bit more strategic.
