Did they really do 2,000 grafts?

I got 2,000 grafts done 1 week ago. Overall, I am happy with the experience.

However, there is not as much of a change as I expected. True, they did a lot of fill in, but I was seriously expecting more. It makes me want to do a second one later.

I added a photo of the area that was filled in. The other side of the head looks the same.

I just want to re-assure myself that was I got was appropriate with the number paid for.

And you will most probably be doing a 2nd one later anyhow as further hair loss progresses

That's a tough one given the one pic you put up.

Our philosophy is to pack tightly and not sprinkle hair around existing hairs. Even if someone has had a previous case...we'll trim down what they have and pack tightly.

At some point you have to either trust or not trust the person who did your case. Again at our office, each cutter marks the number of singles and doubles and triples they get on a sheet, and I simply add them all up at the end of the case. Occasionally a patient is interested enough to want to see this and they are certainly free to add them up themselves.

Interestingly, the only person in 20 years now...who argued that he couldn't trust the cutters was a repair case on a government lawyer...who said that the cutters probably just write down what I want them to... I think he may have trust issues.

Talk to your doctor at your next visit and convey your concerns. Also reviewing his or her work on the forums can go along way in helping. If its a reputable doctor with a good track record, you are likely getting what you think you got.

In contrast I'm seeing yet another guy locally (5 in the last 2 months) who says he got greater than 4000 FUE in about 4 hours of surgery...and has nothing to show for it. He may not be so lucky.
