Those of us with MPB will never be able to restore our virgin levels of density and donor supply simply becuase they are limited. Many of us men with MPB can and have experienced success with "attaining the illusion of coverage" or density. It is never the goal of surgical hair restoration to replenish what is being lost and certainly not hair for hair.
The good news is that many men also exxperience success in slowing down the rate or progression or loss by using effective hairloss meds. Start by talking and then meeting with a reputable HT doctor who can not only examine you for a proper diagnosis of MPB but also help you monitor the effectiveness of the meds over the coming year.
Then the two of you can ultimately comprise a restoration plan that considers your entire lifetime of needs/goals.
It appears that you are just beginning your journey so whatever you do, "Don't just jump into surgery". Surgery does not cure our hairloss!
Start doing as much research into the complete dynamics of hair restoration so you understand the full repercussions of both the benefits and risks.
Feel free to e-mail some pics to me in confidence if you want an informal opinion of your situation.
I have sustained four seperate HT procedures myself for a grand total of 6,900 grafts and also been using both Propecia and minoxidil with success for over 13 years now.
Best wishes to you man!"Gillenator"
