Use our graft calculator to work out how many hair follicles are needed to cover your bald area. It will also help with how much a hair transplant costs – here

Online calculators can be of some value, but in order to get an accurate assessment, a prospective patient needs to have an in-person consultation and be measured accurately with a device like HairCheck.

For ease we have calculated a flat rate of two hairs per follicular unit or graft for scalp and slightly less for eyebrow. Hairs grow in natural groupings called follicular units (FU). Ranging from one to four hairs per follicular unit.
The number of grafts a patient will need depends on the thickness of their hair and the extent of their hair loss, which can be determined by the Norwood Scale below. During a hair transplant, grafts are usually removed from the 'donor area' located on the back of the scalp and relocated to a balding area.

It had never occurred to me, but it might be easy to calculate my hair, because there is very little hair left
