This fellow had contemplated a variety of options including old style tattooing, in order to get a hairline and coverage of his balding scalp. We discussed options and together settled on a strip case. Shown are pictures of the operation day, 1 week suture removal, 1 month scar check, and some 3.3 month pics that he emailed in last week. I’ve asked him to stop by after the first of the year. Unfortunately he didn’t send a good scar picture last week, but says that things are healing well.
The white that is noticed in the end of case view, is the dermis of the skin sticking out of the slits slightly. Everyone's dermis is white and particularly in really dark skinned people its noticeable. And when its curly...it only shows more as we put the root in the slit, but try not to bury any skin and so the curved dermis sticks out more that in straight hair-ed individuals.
