Back in 2002 at the ISHRS conference held in Chicago Dr. Hasson showed the world's first "dense pack" result. The patient was the first patient ever seen that had 70 grafts per cm2 in one session and up to this time 35 grafts per cm2 was considered cutting edge density. This was the moment that defined what it means to dense pack as you all know it today. That was nine years ago.
Since that time H&W have not only continued to refine the lateral slit technique but we have also learned to identify those patients that are the best candidates for higher density procedures. The following patient is one such example.
This patient came to see Dr. Hasson 15 months ago for a procedure that would establish the fullest restoration possible in one session. 4770 grafts were utilized to achieve the result you see below. The patient has a well documented family history of moderate hair loss at worst, has been on a regular Propecia intake schedule that has prevented further loss and his donor density was rated as "high" as only a 1.2 x 30cm strip was removed for 4770 grafts.
