Beard restoration via CIT - video

Donor hair used in beard hair transplants should ideally be quite similar to beard and mustache hair in its characteristics; this assures the most natural look for these transplants. If a patient has a coarse mustache and fine scalp hair then body hair may be a more ideal donor source. This contrast between characteristics may appear unnatural if fine hair alone is used. In this case, medium-fine hair was used from the scalp and coarser beard hair to treat the mustache and beard.

Many patients desire a more consistent distribution, while increasing the overall density of the areas. CIT allows patients to have an alternative to strip method (FUT) and avoid the linear scars in the donor area.

In 2005, this patient received a small session of CIT taken from the scalp then a smaller session of CIT grafts from beard.
