this really made a significant improvement in framing this woman's face. Did this woman have stable hair loss with soley the temporal thinning? You can't tell at all she had any work done. Is it possible at all that this new implanted hair would fall out? Last question (i think), what is the singles and duos you mention, I think I read that follicular units were usually grouped in two and three hairs.
Sorry for all the questions I'm trying to learn as much as possible. thank you so much for sharing your pictures. -
Hi Lola.....a pure follicular unit transplant means the doctor is harvesting the hair from the donor area (the side and back of one's head) that naturally occurs in follicular units of typically one hair, two hairs, three hairs, and in some cases four hairs. These donor hairs are healthy and permanent so they will grow for life. It is important to use the single hair units and in some cases the twos for hairline work to achieve a natural appearance. Natrural appearance is also the result of proper angulation of the hairs, normal healing of the skin, and minimal spacing between hairs. In this particular case, the thinning areas are localized to the frontal hairline and temple regions. Thank you for your feedbackView Dr. Robert. J. Dorin's IAHRS Profile
