What does it mean singles doubles and threes?

if you get more threes does it cover more area?

why not get all threes and fours? with a few singles? and doubles then?

For a guy like me with thick coarse curly hair would threes be better.

The reason i ask if because I could clearly see myself undergoing a hair transplant with 1900 fue's and living with the look in these photos 11 days out.

I have longer hair now but can't figure out how part of the head..(front portion would be shaved and the rest would be regular length..Same for the crown..

The look without the fully shaven number 2 razor cut would be unlivable but with this hair cut...I could go to work etc.. and not be looking like ET..

Is that haircut considered a number two razor?

I never had a crewcut so please fill me in with what number razor cut that is to start with and what would the 11 day be considered..?

Also...will the transplanted hair fallout in a few months and then regrow again? or is this his hair for good?
