This fellow had a 1500 graft strip by a national chain a few years back. He presented with a very wide scar and sparse hair up front. We discussed the pros and cons of scar excision with his hair transplant and we both agreed to go for as much hair as we could get and leave scar repair for the future.
Shown are preop and periop pics, a pic he emailed me around 3 weeks out, app 6 weeks showing most has fallen out, and then last week at 8 months.
Interestingly, he had promised to come in early for a scar check, given his trouble with the first transplant; and ofcourse, like most guys, he didn't show. But, what prompted him to call was scar problems...and fortunately he was able to see his pre-existing scar, and that we sewed right up to that scar. And his trouble is actually a few ingrown hairs in his old scar. We treated those and I asked him to stop by in a month for a check.
