Dr. Lindsey Scar excision and a few hundred grafts to address weak spot in hairline

This younger guy came for repair of his wide scar. He'd said he'd had 2 cases at an early age by a national chain. After have a bit of valium for the procedure...it slipped out that he'd had FOUR cases!!

In any case we excised his scar, did a 3 layer trichophytic closure (hopefully it won't stretch much but I didn't know he'd had FOUR cases before I got to him...) and we got around 250 grafts out of the strip scar itself which we placed into his frontal hairline.

Interested picture viewers will note how wide open the scalp pulls when a guy like this gets a scar excision. And then we laid the scar back in the wound to show just how wide it is. Then you will see the deep layer closed and finally the skin closure.

Additional pics are at a week out with reasonable cleaning. I expect to see him in a month for a scar check.

I think he's posted his experience elsewhere on the forum but have not been able to find it. I hope he'll pop on and contribute.
