This fellow may be familiar to viewers. He's from my neck of the woods, and had plugs 20 years ago. We did a nice plug repair case on him 11 months ago and he stopped in yesterday.
He's burdened by fairly fine hairs, and really white skin, but even at 11 months, he looks way more natural than last summer. His straight and sparse hairline is now pretty good, and by 18 months I think he'll be 30 to 40 % better. It takes longer for hair to grow in that dense, relatively avascular, scar tissue than it does in virgin scalp.
Also, take a look at his donor region. He had significant depletion of his donor hair from his plugs...kind of like a large FUE or 2 in this complexion of man. He'd have been a lot better off with that tiny strip scar now seen at the top of his plug sourced scalp.
He's able to look less "unique" as far as his hairline goes...critical in his occupation. I think that with one more strip case we can get most of the way to the vertex....and we'll be essentially planting in scar free scalp.
