3950 CIT (non-strip) grafts on class 4A patient - Total repair & restoration

This patient experienced extremely poor growth and the dreadful after effects from the mid 80’s plug procedures. The patient resorted to wearing a hat or hair piece for all public appearances. Prior to CIT treatment, the patient underwent antiquated hair surgeries that resulted in extensive scarring and rows of misangled, large grafts. To worsen the problem this individual experienced additional hair loss, further exposing the plugs and scars. These disabling effects of the prior hair transplants, the treatment plan was to transfer 3950 CIT “non-strip” grafts in one session (sitting) at our hair restoration center in Atlanta, GA. The treatment plan was to transfer 3950 CIT “non-strip” grafts at our hair restoration center in Atlanta, GA. The objective of the CIT session was to create coverage over the front, top, and crown area. Additionally, the hyper-dense plug grafts on the hairline were de-bulked with CIT and the resulting follicular units were redistributed. Even though the crown could use a slight “touch-up” for more density, the patient now enjoys a much more aesthetically appealing result. Since the goal has been met, the long-time anticipated ability to lose the hat is now a reality that will improve the patient’s quality of life.

From nothing to something... CIT repair

      Hi Winston,

I have the utmost respect for this particular individual, primarily because the patient opted to share an unsuccessful hair restoration history and photos with the hair loss community. If it were not for these patients, the online hair loss community and hair transplant industry as a whole would suffer to a degree in my honest opinion. Here is a classic example of progressive hair loss, poor results, and unnatural after effects from poor technique. This is a case that shows all new forum viewers that a bad decision in hair restoration can easily cause an unnecessary psychological strain for the patient as well as the patient’s wallet. Our main objective is to help all patients attain a better quality of life.
