Dr. Lindsey 11 months out from frontal 1/3 case McLean VA

This very muscular man comes from a family of class 4s and had very thin hair through out the frontal 1/3 of his scalp. His frontal tuft was still a little better hair and he had it a little longer to help conceal his hairloss, but in his line of work that was frowned upon. And since everyone in his family loses that tuft, he and I made the assumption that those hairs would go and therefore we placed grafts there as well. Astute readers may recall previous posts where we’ve skipped the tuft…sometimes correctly and sometimes needing to come back and deal with tuft loss, even in families that seem to keep that tuft for the long haul. Ultimately I leave that call to the patient.

Viewers may note that the crown seems to be a little worse now and he is not taking meds.

We addressed this with a medium sized case, and he has lots of donor hair for the future should he progress. Shown are day of surgery, 1 week, 1 month scar check, 5 months and current pictures. He has a decent scar, well concealed with his required short hairstyle.
