Dr. Lindsey 12 month check on 2700 on very fine haired man with short haircut McLean

This fellow is 12 months out from a 2700 graft case with good growth. Shown are periop, 1 week, 1 month scar check, 6 and 12 month pictures.
He’s got a bit of an interesting problem in that he has VERY fine donor hair, keeps a pretty short haircut, and has a lot of surface area to cover. We agreed on a pretty conservative hairline that ought to look natural whether or not he proceeds with a second case. He is planning a second case to work behind the original work next month. I think we’ll likely use a few singles to bolster his thin hair’s hairline on the left at the part as well. Hopefully we’ll be able to keep his scar as good as it is now.

13 month results and 2nd case

Here are pictures from last weeks case number 2. I think he looks fantastic. That aside...his left frontal corner is a little thin and we're doing the back...so we have some singles to spare. I convinced him to let me put 300 singles and a few doubles along that left corner and I think it will pay off next year.

We got 2400 grafts and placed them as shown.

Please note his old donor scar which is hard to see AND is in the center of his donor strip that you see already excised. Hopefully we'll get a decent scar this time too, but only time will tell.

I post alot of my thoughts on scars and blatantly say that I get 4 poor scars per year, every year. I just don't know who they'll be in. ALL patients hear that disclaimer at the office the day of our consultation and then preop as well. I also say that I get 8 perfect scars a year. This is what I think is a perfect hair transplant scar. And we get about 105-110 really quite good, but not perfect scars each year as well.

He'll get his sutures out tomorrow and I'll post updates at the 1 month scar check.
