maybe if we edit the pre op photo (sharpen it, put different filter on it) it would be easier to count...
just a thought.
I think the best thing to do is to do 2 analyses. One best case scenario (so when in doubt, always take the least amount of pre-op hairs) and worst case scenario (when in doubt always take the most amount of pre-op hairs). I think the average will then be a pretty good indication.
I started a thread (http://www.baldtruthtalk.com/showthread.php?t=8339) almost a year ago hoping to get some answers on the HST procedure. Since then, we've seen a new interview with Dr. Gho (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5nHXChYFJM) and a detailed analysis of gc83uk's donor (http://www.baldtruthtalk.com/showthread
... and these photos show almost the whole occiput area. And I have also lots of such analyzable photos from both sides (right ear view and left ear view).
FACIT
They are simply unable to take analyzable photos. And screenshots of photos, which just show the small test area, like these ...

I know man. And they're not even reacting to my questions anymore (like, do they have more/better pre-op pics ?). Not sure what's going on, but this is starting to p*ss me off.

Although I think there are some very significant caveats to the 80% regeneration claimed I don't think there is anything sinister about the fact that they cannot smoothly document this 50 graft procedure.
Having met them I just think that their project management is "amateur night 101" - their presentation of ANYTHING is consistently half-assed...
this is really pissing me off that HASCI can't document a case like Dr. Mousseigne did....like it's not that hard to take pictures...we can't let this 50 graft test fall to pieces and then bicker about whether it works or not for another year.....we need to demand this.

If it's any consolation I'll be documenting my next procedure in even more detail than the previous ones. I'll be having 600 or 700 grafts per day over two days, so after the first day it should be relatively easy to count 600 or 700 holes in my head, this will answer the first question of, how many failed extractions do hasci make. Obviously if we count 800 holes in my head when I've only had 700 grafts extracted then we somehow have to work out which of those 100 are failed.
I'll also upload a range of pictures of my donor showing every follicle, probably a week or two before the procedure. Hopefully the good people here can help me verify that the pictures are of good enough quality.

Unfortunately that is 3 months from now.
Well, I guess it's better late than never. I appreciate what you are doing, as I am scheduling a HT for summer 2014 and I was 100% about going to Gho, but now I'm a little sketchy about it. You're case will probably be the deciding factor for me.
In the end it will be Mousseigne, Gho or maybe even Wesley if he shows regeneration when he presents at the October meetings....but I don't like how sketchy HASCI is with their claims.

Well I'm kind of enjoying the roller coaster of HST, so it's a pleasure to do the documentation and slowly see the improvement. And if it helps anyone along the way make some decisions, good/bad then I'm all for that.
I think summer 2014 will be a great time, by then we'll know for sure about Nigam, Wesley and Gho will be concluded after my procedure.
With a bit of luck somebody will also document their case in the meantime.
Gc any updates on your recipient from the first 3? are you satisfied with the result so far? maybe some pics
It's looking pretty good, but I need more. I probably have something like 30-35 grafts per cm2 placed on a slick area, so you can imagine. It looks decent when shaved down to a grade 0 or 1, but I darn't let it grow long until I thicken it up with the next procedure.
I'll post a photo sometime this week once I get my camera back, I foolishly lent it to somebody and they are taking their time in returning it
I want to believe that HASCI is legit and that HST works as advertised, moreso after the last few weeks of disappointment, but honestly, there isn't a shred of objective evidence. There's no more actual evidence for Gho than there is for Nigam, both frequently appear totally amateurish and with incredible promises. I'm almost going to say that Nigam impresses me more, as at least he is more communicative, and posts photos even if at times terrible photos.
(I'm not interested in having a HT without some form regeneration taking place, FWIW.)

I think this is the best way to proceed. Your scalp is just perfect for analysis anyway, since after these procedures your donor density is perfect for analysis and same goes for your recipient. Besides you know how to make good photo's.
