Histogen
October 17 - 20, 2012
Bahamas
Dr. Gail Naughton to present "Scalp Injection of active embryonic-like cell-secreted proteins and growth factors"
Conference is in less than 10 days.
Histogen will be there, Allergan is also making an announcement around then.
Aderans is also ending it's phase II soon I believe.

Is it true that phase 111 will take the longest? If so that makes me sad!!

Histogen tends to keep the best news for themselves, I don't remember a time where they announced something big at any conference, it is usually a rehash of their latest update

The very fact that it reaches Phase III essentially means it will get approved for market and works.
Someone posted stats a while back, something like 90% of products that go to phase III go to the market.

In fairness their biggest news only came 3 months after phase II began which was back in march/april.
since then they've done the re-injection thing a few months later, added a slick bald-patient and here we are at about 9 months.
They should have an update at the conference.

The following report states that only about 50% of the drugs that make it to Phase III clinical trials eventually receive regulatory approval:

still pretty high considering .
In terms of a hair product, if this makes it to Phase III it most definitely works, I dont know how that would change unless its a kind of product that has something freaky happen after a year or two.
Phase II is like the life or death sentence for hair trials, i'd be interested to know say from 2000-2010 how many hair product trials went to phase II and then failed.

Don't think so, so far in the last 2 or 3 years( they started trials in 2009), they didn't inform the public about their latest trial progress on this conferences. I would wait for january or february for full info.
