    Default Sardines

So I was at the store the other day, and I think I made a terrible mistake. See, there were these sardines for 80 cents a can, so I bought them. It made sense at the time. I try to get a lot of Omega-3's, and when the sun goes to visit our Australian friends here soon, I'll need a new source of Vitamin D. Not to mention all the protein. Sardines are basically the perfect food (if you don't count the fact that they're sardines). Now I'm looking at this can of whole, raw fish and realizing that I don't actually know what to do with them.

I kind of had a feeling at the time that I was doing something wrong. When the lady at the register asked me if there would be anything else I needed, I almost wanted to say, "Yeah, could you throw these sardines away for me real' quick?" But no, I paid 80 cents, and the cheap bastard in me says I gotta eat them. Besides, they're cheap and good for you, so it'd be good to get used to them anyway.

But does anyone know a good way to eat these? Do I just pick up a fish and have at it? Help me not have wasted 80 cents!

As a side note, I'm pretty sure Omega-3's are related to the same arachidonic acid pathway that has PGD2 as the inflammatory counterpart to the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of Omega-3's. And isn't there some new stuff about Vitamin-D being essential to the creation and maintenance of new follicles? As far as food can go, sardines are probably pretty easy on your hair.

IF you can manage to eat them.

Depends, how old are you? I think old men like them a lot. My dad and his friends eat the shit out of them and anchovies. I went ahead and had some, covered in mustard. Not too bad, actually. Maybe I'm getting old early. My hairline seems to agree, anyway.

But yeah, try 'em. They're way better than they sound.
